*FREE DEMO in browser* Now you can make Factorio mods without needing to learn how to code! Use Assembler today to craft your perfect mod!

Add/remove/change items, recipes, technologies, ores, machines, entities, music, and even planets and whole star systems for Space Age easily.

Easily edit planets with an interactive star map visualizer. Moving a planet's orbit is as easy as clicking and dragging. Techs can also be easily edited in their own tech tree interactive visualizer.

If you don't have art yet, it will automatically substitute with placeholder icons so that you can at least test the mod's functionality, allowing for rapid development.

Output is automatically formatted to be as plug-and-play as possible. Just copy the mod you create (zip file) into your mods folder and run Factorio, then select your mod in the mod list from the main menu.

Fullscreen recommended!

V1.4.0 (Free demo in browser version): Much better customization options for many more item types! Ore deposits can now be specified on which planet they can be spawned on, even which tiles the deposits can spawn on (sand deposits on only desert tiles, for example), and what the ore on the ground should look like with the option to use re-tinted ore graphics from the base game. Ores can also yield multiple types of items simultaneously, with each their own probability of appearing. Everything in vanilla and the DLC can now be properly overridden with all their unique values. You can also make new fluids, ammo, armor equipment, turrets,  and modules. You can now make "infinite" techs that follow the formula you provide. Techs can also be made to be researched by a trigger (such as by mining tin, you unlock bronze-working). Techs from the DLC now have updated complete information. Almost everything has a helper tooltip next to it now to help those who may be confused or feel overwhelmed. Also, an added music track can now be set to play on space platforms only if desired.

NEWEST VERSION V2.6.2 is out now with expanded options and capability especially for adding new worlds! The most capable version is now a .exe file, because it interfaces with your copy of Factorio saved on your computer in order to generate real map previews within the app from the Factorio renderer itself for each world. It can also automatically start Factorio automatically for a test run under the new Test & Debug tab to quickly verify if your code works, and if not, it will show the errors in Assembler. However, if you don't care about map previews or automatically testing your code, the plain .html file (V2.0.0) is included, and can also be used to run on any device with a browser, but with limited functionality. You can now edit and test the Lua code itself for more complex mods under the new Lua Workspace tab, and there are built-in Factorio references. Also, the option to use an AI to generate things within the app is available, only if you provide an API key (it is only optional, AI is not required, and I encourage you to not depend on it). Sound files of many different types can now be automatically converted to .ogg files within the music tab, so you no longer need to manually convert. There is also a rudimentary built-in 3D modeler for structure entities, and it can extract multiple views to build directional sprites automatically for you. Animation is also possible. A new demo mod which was made using Assembler (without AI) is now included (which was made in about 20 minutes) and adds sand, silicon wafers, overrides the electronic circuit recipe and tech, and adds a new planet around a new star.

Be advised that this has not been made compatible with Factorio 2.1 yet, but that will be coming soon, probably after 2.1 has been officially released!
